Day 9: The Learnary's (Not) Back to School Series.

27 Aug 2019 7:50 AM | Sam Mills (Administrator)

What will you learn this fall?

We have all sorts of kits and supplies to get working with textiles: Embroidery, Sashiko, Felting Kits, Sewing needles, Printing on Fabric, Dying Fabric, and more!

Come learn at The Learnary: We have tones of workshops and drop in events based around textiles. One of our favourite is the Textile Fixary the first Sunday of the months (next one in October). Bring any textiles and learn how to fix them in community. A loved part of the Textile Fixary is the Stuffy Triage Station.

There are lots of layers of good meaning in a young person, learning from a neighbour how to mend their beloved stuffy.

For those who have always wanted to know, here is a little tutorial on how to darn a sock!

Search our website here. If you can't find what you're looking for, please email us at

The Learnary is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh people. We are humbled by this history and grateful for our use of this land.

Our bathroom is approximately 57” x 60”.  To access, you need to pass through three doorways. The smallest has a width of 26”. The bathroom is non-gendered.

Our back door (private entrance) has five wooden steps.
